Content Management

Once you have a website you'll want it to be up to date...

You know how annoying it can be when you go to a website and it is clearly out of date so once you've got your new website up and running you'll want to keep it fresh and relevant to what you are doing NOW.

You have a choice, either you have to pay your developer for every little amendment OR you get yourself a website with an easy to use "Content Management System" (CMS) so that you can update the site whenever and wherever you are!

For instance, this website is entirely managed by a CMS (based on Chapter Eight technology) that requires absolutely NO programming skills. There's even a screen shot of THIS page's CMS below.

Here are the answers to some "Frequently Asked Questions" but if you want to know more Contact us for a free demonstration.

We can recommend it because we use it ourselves!

What is a Content Management System?

A Content Management System, or "CMS" provides a simple way for non programmers to update their own site. A good CMS will be intuitive to learn, jargon free and flexible.

I can send eMails and surf the net, would I be able to update my own site?

Absolutely! There really are NO programming skills required. If you aren't sure it's for you why not call for a completely free, no obligation meeting and we'll show you just how easy it is to use. If you're convinced then we can talk some more.

Do I have to install any software?

Nope, the CMS is entirely browser based. No more messages like "Cannot update because WordPress requires MySQL version 5.0 or higher. You are running version 4.1.22." to prevent you doing the updates. You just log in and do your updates.

What about pictures and links

No problem, all do-able from within the CMS. You can upload as many pictures as you like and you can create as many links as you like within your site or to anywhere else on the internet in just a few mouse clicks.

How many pages can my website have?

As many as you want. If you want a site as big as the BBC then we can talk about it but for most businesses it's effectively unlimited. If you're not sure, see how many pages there are on the Wigmore and Eureka veterinary centres' site, and they're still adding to it!

What does the CMS look like?

The following is a screen shot of THIS page as it was being built in the CMS. You can see the same text as appears above and the same familiar formatting icons you get with other applications. The nice thing is there's not an HTML tag anywhere! Contact us for a free demonstration.
